
This is for First Nations women in Ontario to come together for 2 hours weekly on Zoom to connect, learn, grow, share knowledge, seek support, and spread good energy. It will happen from 7 pm - 9 pm on Thursday nights.
We follow Anishinaabe Time: You are always welcome to log on to Zoom late without giving a reason. You are always welcome to log off Zoom early for any reason.
Drop-In style: Attend when you can - no notice required. It is encouraged to be on camera however this is not imposed, and if you wish to log on and 'listen in' if you are busy with life priorities, that is okay.
GOALS:

To increase your connections with good-hearted people creating a sense of belonging and sisterhood.

To facilitate growth, and learning, enhance and sustain your wholistic well-being (to recharge your spiritual energies).

To bring balance to your daily life by normalizing (validating) the special and unique gifts we carry.

To navigate how to incorporate our collective and generous Indigenous worldview into the western world of competition and individualism.

To spread kindness, positive connection, and spiritual affirmations.
This will be achieved by the gathering of similarly-gifted women, and the facilitation of conversations relating to spiritual gifts, medicines, witchy things, spirits/ancestors, knowledge from spirit, energy, spirit beings, spirit helpers, animal helpers, dreams, signs from spirit, deeper meaning of things, crystals and stones, protections, purifications, rituals, ceremony things, Nish karma, cleansing, recharging, good medicine, bad medicine, W virus (ego, greed), protecting others from harm, stopping harm, laughter as medicine, building confidence, building spirit strength, Anishinaabe worldview, various cultural teachings.... and the list can go on and on.
COVERAGE:
Non-Insured health benefits cover status First Nations for "mental health counselling" and those benefits include "group therapy". If you already have a 1:1 counsellor who is an NIHB provider billing with your status number, NIHB will not approve your coverage in this group.
RULES:
1. Only Positivity. Refrain from complaints, frustrations, etc. so we can focus on kindness, good thoughts and energy for healing. No shame for this rough side coming out though - we are all human.
